Our oncology department was recently accredited by the Commission on Cancer (CoC)!

CoC accreditation provides value through improved patient outcomes across all domains of care: access and service, satisfaction and well-being, quality of care and cancer outcomes.

CoC accredited cancer programs are dedicated to providing the best in patient-centered care.

The CoC encompasses the best minds in cancer care utilizing expertise from the entire oncology community to set the highest standards of care for CoC-accredited cancer programs.

Dr. Ann Murphy, Dr. Kurt Norman, Rebecca Kimball, ARNP and a dedicated team of Oncology Certified Registered Nurses provide a wide spectrum of cancer care and support services, allowing you to stay close to the people and places you love while receiving treatment.

Jefferson Healthcare Oncology and Hematology is often the focal point for a patient needing additional care and support. While a patient is receiving treatment, he or she may also receive assistance from staff members such as a pharmacist, medical social worker, dietician, diabetic educator, or respiratory therapist.

Comprehensive Services

A team of board-certified oncology physicians and oncology certified registered nurses provide comprehensive cancer care, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products and other treatments.

Infusion Services are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am until 12 noon.  Department Director, Jeinell Harper, RN, OCN, leads a caring and competent team of experienced Certified Oncology and Infusion RNs. Jefferson Healthcare understands how important this medical service is to have locally.  It means our patients can stay closer to home.  The clinic has rooms with a beautiful view of Port Townsend Bay, where patients can watch the ferries come and go, as well as other ships traveling to the Strait of Juan de Fuca.  Private rooms are available if needed or desired, and healthful, organic meals and snacks are served from our kitchen.

Commitment to Quality

Treatment for cancer changes as medicine advances. That's why we stay on top of new developments from clinical research and use best practices in our treatment plans. We also identify clinical trials for patients to participate in.

Coordinated Care

During treatment, you may have many providers working to help you get better. Our navigators will coordinate your care beginning with diagnosis through treatment and recovery. We create a comprehensive treatment plan personalized and based on your health and wellness needs.

A Healing Environment

Environment can have a big impact on how you feel during treatment. Serene, spacious clinic rooms with a beautiful view of Port Townsend Bay and Strait of Juan de Fuca provide the ideal healing environment during your care. We also offer healthful, organic meals and snacks that are made here in our own kitchen.

Clinical Trials

Clinical research advances science and ensures that patient care approaches the highest possible level of quality. Through a partnership with Multicare Health System in Gig Harbor and Tacoma, Jefferson Healthcare now offers clinical trials to our patients.

For more information on what to expect from a clinical trial, watch this 6 minute video, "Exploring the Options: Clinical Trials"

Clinical trials are no longer considered a last resort, they are often part of the treatment plan. For questions, call our Research Coordinator at (360) 385-2200 ext. 1626
